Olympic champion Adams leads trio into EU Boxing finals

Olympic champion Nicola Adams will lead three British boxers into finals at the European Union Championships.

Flyweight Adams, who is seeking to retain her title, beat Poland's Sandra Drabik by a unanimous points decision and will face Bulgarian Stoyka Petrova, who she overcame at the last eight stage on the way to her historic gold at London 2012.

World middleweight champion Savannah Marshall was a confident winner over Sweden's Love Holgersson and now must beat Dutch rival Nouchka Mirielle Fountin.

And Lisa Whiteside pushed aside French bantamweight rival Delphine Mancina, setting up a final date with Alice Sramkova of the Czech Republic.

However, there was disappointment for Great Britain's Natasha Jonas, who settles for bronze after losing her lightweight semi-final on a split decision to France's Estelle Mossely.

Welsh figher Lynsey Holdaway also had to settle for bronze as she too lost a split decision to Italian light flyweight Valeria Calabrese.
