Charlotte Bobcats centre Byron Mullens has confirmed his availability to play for Great Britain at the London Olympics this summer after receiving his passport this week.
The 23-year-old was born in Columbus, Ohio but his mother is from Middlesex, making him eligible.
The seven-footer posted a picture of his newly-acquired passport on Twitter.
"Yessir. I will be in London this summer! 2012 summer Olympics" he wrote.
Chris Finch's squad is deepest in the frontcourt, boasting the likes of Pops Mensah-Bonsu, Joel Freeland and Robert Archibald, but Mullens would certainly stand a strong chance of making the squad even before he has met up with the team for the first time.
Mullens' availability could give Britain three NBA players in their 12-man squad this summer, with Detroit Pistons guard Ben Gordon confirming his intention to play while the team's established star Luol Deng has continued to turn in strong performances for the Chicago Bulls despite playing with a left wrist injury.
