Muirhead continues form at curling's Continental Cup

Eve Muirhead remains unbeaten at curling's Continental Cup in Las Vegas.

The world champion followed up on her morale-boosting win over Jennifer Jones and her Sochi-bound Canadian rink with another victory over her rival skip in a  singles skills test.

Both players had to throw six shots - a draw to the button, hit and roll to the button, draw to the button through a port, raise to the button, runback takeout and double takeout - with each shot scored one through five depending on its success.

And Muirhead held her nerve to beat Jones again 19-12 before joining team-mates Anna Sloan, Claire Hamilton and Vicki Adams to take on USA rival Erika Brown's quartet.

The Scot had a shot for the win but couldn't make the angle and drew 3-3.

Elsewhere, British Olympic men's skip David Murdoch won his skills test against the USA's John Shuster but alongside his rink narrowly lost 5-4 to Canada's Jeff Stoughton

Team North America lead Team World by a single point, 10-11, after two days of play with the first team to score 30 claiming the trophy.
