Commonwealth Games gold medallist Sean McGoldrick and Gamal Yafai both suffered losses on day four of the AIBA World Boxing Championships in Kazakhstan.
Both fighting in the bantamweight draw, McGoldrick, the Commonwealth champion from Delhi 2010, lost his first-round clash 3-0 to Yoni Pacheco of Venezuela.
Yafai suffered a similar fate in his opening bout against Aram Avagyan, as the Armenian fighter overcame the Englishman 3-0 in Almaty.
All is not lost for Britain on the fourth day of the World Championships in Kazakhstan however with Anthony Fowler and Joe Ham still to fight.
