Hammond misses out on final place

Jonathan Hammond narrowly missed out on a place in the final of the Men's 50m Rifle 3 Positions after finishing ninth in qualifying with a score of 1165.

Fellow Briton James Charles Huckle was much further off the pace at the ISSF World Cup and Olympic Test event, finishing 35th with 1147 points.

The gold medal went to Italy's Niccolo Campriani (1278.2), with American Matthew Emmons and Ukrainian Serhiy Kulish second and third respectively.
