There are plenty of British medal hopes competing in sports across the XX Commonwealth Games in Glasgow today.

Jason Kenny, Kian Emadi and Matthew Crampton line up for the keirin, while Jess Varnish can claim an individual sprint bronze.

In the pool Fran Halsall will look to add to Saturday’s 50m freestyle gold with a repeat performance in the butterfly final (session starts at 7pm) and world record holder Liam Tancock goes in the 50m backstroke final with 100m backstroke gold medallist Chris Walker-Hebborn.

In the shooting, Rachel Parish and Charlotte Kerwood are in the double trap women’s final, while Jack Oliver takes on the men’s 77kg weightlifting final, looking to follow the lead of Zoe Smith, who struck gold yesterday.

England’s men meet India in the table tennis semi-finals (7pm) and the mixed badminton team face the same opposition at 6.30pm.

At the hockey Scotland take on world silver medallists Australia (9am) and England play Malaysia (11am) in the women's event.  And England's men play Malaysia at 9pm.

And rugby sevens, which makes its Olympic debut in Rio, is decided at a sold-out Ibrox. England and Wales both finished second in their groups and will play Samoa and Australia respectively. Hosts Scotland take on South Africa. Be watching from 12.20pm.
