Fragapane not feeling the pressure ahead of World Champs bow

Claudia Fragapane might have been one of the stars of the summer but she insists she isn’t feeling any pressure ahead of her World Gymnastics Championships debut.

Fragapane arrived in Nanning having become the first Englishwoman for 84 years to win four gold medals at a single Commonwealth Games.

These titles came in the form of the all-around, team, vault and floor competitions and it is the latter two events that the 16-year-old is hoping to make the finals of in China.

But considering she is making her World Championships bow, Fragapane admits she is simply relishing taking on the best gymnasts from around the globe.

"I don't think I have too much pressure for the individual as it's my first senior World Championships but hopefully I can make the vault and floor finals," Fragapane told BBC Sport.

"I've never competed against the USA or China or anyone of those, so it's really exciting."
