In-form Ryding claims national slalom title

Dave Ryding produced two dominant runs to claim the slalom title at the alpine skiing British Championships in Meribel.

Ryding has enjoyed a season to remember, winning the overall Europa Cup slalom title and posting his best-ever result in a FIS race, winning in Rogla just a week ago.

The 26-year old, who made his Olympic debut in Vancouver, finishing 27th in the slalom, was a second and a half quicker than his nearest rival on the first run.

And he extended that advantage with an equally impressive second run, his final winning margin just under two and a half seconds.
