Driscoll takes second gold at World Championships in Sofia

Kat Driscoll claimed her second gold medal in as many days at the World Trampoline Championships in Sofia, adding the women’s synchro title to her team crown.

Driscoll joined forces with Emma Smith, Laura Gallagher and Bryony Page to win team gold and then linked up with Amanda Parker to dominate the synchro.

London 2012 Olympic Driscoll and Parker, who won the World Games title this summer, scored 47.500 for gold with China 0.400 behind in second for silver.

Driscoll and Parker had to settle for synchro bronze two years ago while she was part of a British team that claimed silver on home soil in Birmingham in 2011.

And if the team and synchro events are anything to go by Driscoll could be in for a fine ending to her World Championships with the individual event to come.

A qualifier from in seventh place, and ninth at London 2012, she will contest the semi-finals along with Smith and Gallagher as the World Championships come to a close in Bulgaria.
