Double Olympic champion Heather Stanning has been awarded an OBE in the Queen's birthday honours list.

Rower Stanning partnered Helen Glover to women's pairs gold at London 2012 and Rio 2016 before retiring from the sport last summer.

Stanning, now a Major in the Royal Artillery, also won two world titles with Glover - with the pair unbeaten in 39 races between their two Olympic triumphs.

Judy Murray, the former Great Britain Fed Cup coach and mother to the Wimbledon champions Andy and Jamie, receives an OBE for services to tennis, women in sport and charity.

“I do what I love and I love what I do, so I feel very lucky to have been given this honour,” she said.

“I’ll keep working hard to grow tennis and to promote women’s sport across the UK.”

The honour is the third for the Murray family in the last 12 months, following Andy's knighthood and Jamie's OBE last year.
