Double Olympic champion Dujardin hopeful for Olympia

Charlotte Dujardin is hopeful of starring once again at the London International Horse Show at Olympia as she saddles up Olympic gold medal winning ride Valegro once again.

Dujardin was in fine form with Valegro at Olympia last year – four months after winning team and individual dressage gold at the London 2012 Olympics.

Acting as a FEI World Cup freestyle event she set a grand prix world record on the way to victory in her first competitive outing since her double gold at London 2012.

She returns this year with Valegro again and having this time added double individual European Championship gold to her growing list of honours.

Dujardin was also part of the British team that claimed European bronze in Herning and is hopeful of further success back at the London International Horse Show.

She said: “There are very few competitions in the world that compare to the atmosphere of Olympia, and it is undoubtedly one of the greatest shows there is.

“Fingers crossed, we can repeat our success from last year.”
