Concern for basketball duo

Great Britain basketball pair Dan Clark and Mike Lenzly are battling injuries in the final days before the Olympics.

Guard Lenzly suffered a calf injury during last weekend's 118-78 friendly loss to the United States in Manchester, and sat out the weekend's final warm-up games against Tunisia and Belgium.

Forward Clark hurt his knee in Saturday's 73-69 loss to Tunisia and was then one of several players to miss Sunday's 79-56 defeat to Belgium.

British Basketball have until Friday to apply to world governing body FIBA to replace either player on the roster if their injuries do not improve, but no decision has been taken.

"We're in an assessment process," a team spokesman said.

Ogo Adegboye, who was the final cut from coach Chris Finch's squad this summer, has remained with the team and played in Lenzly's absence over the weekend.
