Euan Burton delighted his home crowd as he claimed gold in the -100kg category at the European Open in Glasgow.
Burton, a two-time Olympian and former world bronze medallist, beat out fellow Brit Ben Fletcher in the final.
Fletcher, who himself was the 2011 World Junior Champion, impressed in progressing to the final but had to settle for silver in the end.
Elsewhere Matt Purssey claimed bronze in the -90kg category, also beating out a teammate in the form of Michael Horley in their medal match.
Theo Spalding-McIntosh also impressed in claiming bronze in the same weight category, the 24-year-old beating Australia's Mark Anthony in his medal fight.
