Britain's Chris Adcock and Imogen Bankier were forced to settle for bronze after defeat in their European Championship semi-final.
The Anglo-Scottish duo, seeded fourth, went down to 2010 runners-up Robert Mateusiak and Nadiezda Zieba of Poland, 21-17 17-21 21-19, in 58 minutes in Karlskrona, Sweden.
Adcock and Bankier hit back from 17-8 down in the deciding game but were unable to fight their way in front.
Despite the defeat, the world number 10 pair have still enjoyed a fine week with their quarter-final win over British rivals Nathan Robertson and Jenny Wallwork all but securing an Olympic place.
