British women claim world team trampoline title

London 2012 Olympian Kat Driscoll joined forces with Emma Smith, Laura Gallagher and Bryony Page as Great Britain claimed the world women's trampoline title in Sofia.

Driscoll was the last to compete and held her nerve to complete a clean routine with a score of 53.725, edging Canada and Belarus into the lower positions on the podium.

“We have worked so hard over the last two to three years and this comes as an acknowledgment for all our efforts," said Driscoll, who won silver in the team event two years ago in Birmingham.

Laura Gallagher added: “I don’t think it has hit me yet - I keep grinning but I know it will hit me later."

Driscoll will be back in action in the women's synchro event alongside Amanda Parker and they seek to upgrade the bronze medal they won in 2011.
