Jade Jones continues to impress on the biggest stage as she added European Games -57kg taekwondo gold to her London 2012 title with victory over Ana Zaninovic in Baku.
Jones arrived in Azerbaijan as the one to beat having climbed the top step of the Olympic podium three years ago, and she quickly showed she meant business as she stormed to the final.
And it looked like being a comfortable victory in the showpiece as she opened up a 5-0 lead, however after pulling level in the second two-minute round Croatian Zaninovic trailed just 8-6.
However, Jones was in no mood to relinquish her lead, going on to add the European Games title – following in the footsteps of teammate Charlie Maddock – to her impressive CV as she etched out a 12-9 victory.
