Kitty King earned selection for her maiden Olympic Games in 2016, a year after helping the British team to European eventing silver.

King finished as the best British rider at those Championships, coming fourth and was the first British rider to represent Great Britain at all age-group levels – pony, junior, young rider and senior. She was also the first Brit to win continental championship medals at all four levels.

In Rio, the eventer was part of the Great Britain team which finished fifth and King came 30th in the individual competition.
