Fogg, 24, was already selected to Team GB back in March to compete in the 1500m event in the Aquatics Centre.  He has now secured Team GB’s sole place in the men’s open water event which will take place on 10th August in Hyde Park. The BOA has also confirmed today that diver Rebecca Gallantree will contest the 3m individual springboard diving event. Gallantree was already selected to Team GB earlier this month to compete in the 3m synchronised event alongside partner Alicia Blagg. Gallantree joins Hannah Starling as Team GB’s representatives in the individual event.

The announcement follows confirmation from the international federation, FINA, that Team GB has been awarded a second host nation place in the women’s 3m individual springboard event.
