Woods progresses to Olympic ski slopestyle final

Great Britain's James Woods nursed his injured hip down the ski slopestyle course to progress to the Olympic final as the third best qualifier.

Woods, the bronze medallist at last year's World Championships and last season's world number one, posted a solid 87.20 score on his first run but didn't compete his second run.

"I'm a bit sore," said Woods, who fell during training last week.

"I'm trying to make the most of the situation. I was just looking to make that final.

"I was delighted with my first run, I do this week in, week out and I know what I'm doing. I'm happy and fortunate that I put that first run down relatively painlessly."
