Women still fourth; men third in world curling rankings

Great Britain and Scotland’s women have maintained their world ranking while the men have dropped one place after the World Curling Federation released its latest standings.

Following the conclusion of the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games and the 2014 World Curling Championships, Scotland’s women remain in fourth place at the end of the season.

Eve Muirhead’s rink battled to take Olympic bronze in Sochi in February while Kerry Barr placed tenth at what was her very first World Women’s Championships in Canada last month.

The men slip back to third despite David Murdoch’s Olympic silver with three-time world champion Ewan MacDonald finishing ninth on his return to the global stage as skip.
