Gabby White believes she can help Chris Adcock upgrade his mixed doubles silver at next week's badminton World Championships in Guangzhou.
Adcock partnered Imogen Bankier to second place when the Worlds were held in London two years ago, beating four seeded pairings on their way to the final at Wembley Arena.
“I’m sure Chris wants to go one better and I believe that we can both do that," said White.
“We’ve got a bye in the first round, which is nice, through our seeding and then we have a tough Taipei pair and we will be fully focused on that one and then take each game at a time.”
And Adcock, who partners Andrew Ellis in the men's doubles, insisted there was no added pressure because of his previous performance at the event.
“I feel our preparation is going pretty well," he said.
“We had a good week in Denmark training with the rest of the European nations so it was a good sharpener.
“We then returned to the National Badminton Centre in Milton Keynes to finish preparations and hopefully we can take some good form into the World Championships.
“Of course, it would be great to get another medal and as I proved last time, anything can happen at a major championships and we will be taking it one game at a time.
"Hopefully by doing that we will get into a position to challenge.”
