With the dust settled on this year’s British Swimming Championships the 26-strong team that will represent Team GB in the pool at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games has been announced.
The squad has plenty of pedigree in its ranks with a host of swimmers holding Commonwealth, European and World Championship medals.
There are also some familiar faces for Team GB fans with a number of swimmers returning to the fold from Beijing 2008 and London 2012 as well as last year’s European Games in Baku.
Swimming becomes the fourth sport to join the Team GB fold ahead of Rio 2016 with the 26 athletes taking the number of those selected so far to 47.
So, let’s meet the team!
