This morning saw Jessica Ennis-Hill announce her retirement from athletics after a career that had included Olympic, World and European gold and numerous other medals and records.
But the London 2012 heptathlon champion was about much more than her track and field results as shown by the reaction of teammates and past and present to the news of her retirement.
