Selby ready for another Conlan crunch clash

Andrew Selby will defend his European flyweight title against Irish rival Michael Conlan after an impressive semi-final victory in Belarus.

London 2012 Olympian Selby overcame Azerbaijan's Elvin Mamishzada in a close fought last four encounter that wasn't decided until the final round.

Selby and Conlan, who won bronze at last year's Olympics, clashed earlier this year in the World Series of Boxing, the British fighter edging a narrow win in a thrilling tussle.

However, there was disappointment for international newcomer and light flyweight Jack Bateson, who lost against Russia's David Ayrapetyan and will settle for a bronze.

British team-mate Joe Joyce will also take home bronze after he suffered a knockout at the hands of Russian super heavyweight Sergey Kuzmin, who came out firing in the first and forced an early standing count.
