Second bronze for Laugher at Moscow Diving World Series

Jack Laugher claimed his second bronze medal in as many days as he took to the boards individually at the fourth leg of the Diving World Series in Moscow.

Laugher, who finished fourth twice at the London leg last weekend, got off to a fine start in Russia as he claimed 3m synchro bronze with new partner Chris Mears.

But the 19-year-old wasn’t done there though and upon his return to the boards in Russia he claimed another bronze in the individual 3m springboard.

Laugher won his semi-final after scoring 479.70 for his six dives to advance to the final – the same could not be said for Mears though who placed fifth in the other preliminary.

And Laugher bettered that total in the final, recording 512.45 to comfortably finish third with Russian home hope Evgeny Kuznetsov taking gold ahead of Ukraine’s Ilya Kvasha.
