Robson well beaten by Wozniacki at French Open

Laura Robson was bullied off court in double quick time as she went down tamely at the French Open in Paris.

The British number one and world number 35 was no match for tenth seed Caroline Wozniacki, who despite her recent lacklustre form emerged a confident 6-3, 6-2 winner in one hour and 15 minutes.

Olympic mixed doubles silver medallist Robson, who split with coach Zeljko Krajan earlier this month, admitted she was far from her best, with her performance punctuated by 39 unforced errors and double faults.

"I think Caroline played really well and I thought she played smart," said Robson, who had been hopeful of inflicting a sixth straight defeat on Wozniacki.

"She definitely knew what she wanted to do on the court, and generally I just wasn't able to get into the match. My shots just weren't firing as well as they usually are, so it's disappointing."
