New personal best for archer Godfrey

Team GB's Larry Godfrey recorded a personal best as two world records were broken in the archery preliminary rounds on Friday morning.

Godfrey reached his milestone with a score of 680 to take fourth place after three rounds in the behind closed doors session.

Alan Wills shot 335 to finish in 42nd place in the individual section, while Simon Terry was 50th thanks to a score of 324.

The three shooters combined to see Team GB finish in eighth place in the team competition with a score of 1994.

South Korea's Im Dong-hyun, who is legally blind, broke his own 72-arrow mark of 696 by three points to take top spot in the individual ranking round.

And he then joined forces alongside Kim Bubmin and Oh Jin-hyek to helped register a 216-arrow total of 2,087 in the team ranking round - smashing the world record by 18 points.

That saw Korea take top spot in the team session from France and China.
