Jade Jones’ wait for a career grand slam goes on after the double Olympic champion had to settle for bronze at the World Taekwondo Championships in Muju, South Korea.
The 24-year-old lost 14-8 to home favourite Ah-Reum Lee in their semi-final -57kg bout on Friday.
Welsh fighter Jones is the current holder of the European Championship, European Games and World Grand Prix titles.
Her best finish at the World Championships was the silver medal she won in 2011.
And the fighter admitted she was not at her best in today’s bout, but has vowed to learn and improve from her experience.
“Sometimes you lose and I just have to go away from here and train hard and get better," Jones said.
"I'm obviously saving it for the big occasion in Manchester for the Worlds [in 2019].
"I just wasn't me. I didn't fight as well as I normally fight and I just didn't pressure enough. I didn't do enough."
Elsewhere, Bradly Sinden also claimed bronze after losing 43-29 to Chinese fighter Shuai Zhao in their semi-final clash.
Doncaster’s Sinden, 18, enjoyed a tremendous run in the competition, with the world number 62 overpowering defending champion, Jaouad Achab of Belgium, en route to the semis.
"I know I've still got a lot of work to do, but seeing as I've only been in the academy for 11 months and it's my first senior World champs, to come away with a medal is a great feeling," said Sinden.
Damon Sansum, world silver medallist in 2015 also secured bronze in the -80kg category, meaning the British team have secured their best-ever medal haul at a World Championships, their previous high being four in 2011.
The Scottish fighter beat Kazakhstan’s Nurlan Myrzabayev in the quarter-finals 21-8, but lost to Russia’s Anton Kotkov.
"I'm gutted at the moment because I knew I could win gold today," he said.
"Coming back from the devastation of missing out on selection for Rio 2016 and then having surgery on both hips in January of this year has been tough.
"With that in mind, I have to take some positives from the result - and from getting a second successive World medal, which no GB man has done before. But I'll be back fighting for gold next time."
Another 2015 bronze medallist, Rachelle Booth, bowed out after losing 15-6 to Ruth Gbagbi of Ivory Coast in their round-of-16 encounter.
