Rebecca Gallantree and Jack Laugher only just missed out on medals as Great Britain continued to impress on day two of the Diving World Series in Dubai.
In a strong 3m springboard final line-up that included London 2012 silver medallist Zi He of China and Italian Tania Cagnotto, Gallantree didn’t let the competition faze her.
The 29-year old performed six consistent dives and finished just off the podium in fourth with 327.90 points.
Laugher was very strong in the men’s 3m Springboard semi-final, qualifying third with 487.95 points. And after four dives in the final Laugher remained in a medal winning position, with his front two-and-a-half somersaults two twists piked scoring him 86.70 points.
But after a bad landing to his front four-and-a-half somersaults tucked dive, the 19-year old finished the competition in sixth place.
