Five to follow on day 11 of the Olympic Games

More medals for more grabs in Rio, with Team GB hopeful of success across a range of sports from diving to cycling to sailing and athletics.

Giles Scott is all but assured gold medal number 17 - with an unassailable lead in the men's Finn fleet.

Diving, men’s 3m springboard final (10pm UK Time)

Rio 2016 has already exceeded expectations for Jack Laugher after he and 3m synchro partner Chris Mears won Great Britain’s first ever diving gold medal last Wednesday.

Laugher will contest the individual 3m springboard contest having secured his qualification on Monday with a total of 439.95 to place him seventh in the preliminary round.

He has a good chance of adding to his medal tally at these Games - he won bronze at last year's World Championship and finished the recent World Series ranked fourth.

He’ll be up against some tough competition though in the form of China’s Cao Yuan, Mexico’s Rommel Pacheco and USA’s Kristian Ipsen, who were the top three qualifiers.

Track cycling, women’s omnium (2:57pm UK Time)

Laura Trott can already be considered cycling royalty having become the first British women to win three Olympic gold medals after the team pursuit success

But she has the chance to win an unprecedented fourth when she competes in the final three events of the women’s omnium – an event in which she is the defending Olympic champion.

And the 24-year-old sits top of the standings on 118 points heading into Tuesday.

Trott has built up somewhat of a rivalry with USA’s Sarah Hammer, who is currently lying in third, while Belgian Jolien D’Hoore is currently second, just ten points back.

Athletics, men’s high jump final (12.30am UK Time)

Robbie Grabarz hasn’t had much luck since winning high jump bronze at London 2012 with loss of form and injury plaguing the intervening years to Rio.

But the 28-year-old has found his rhythm just in the nick of time, winning the British Olympic trials ahead of Chris Baker to book his place on the team in Brazil

A silver at March’s World Indoor Championships should tell you a healthy Grabarz has been in good shape for a while and with little injury trouble he will be in peak condition.

Boxing, men’s light-heavyweight semi-final (10:30am UK Time)

Light heavyweight Josh Buatsi was the first Team GB boxer to guarantee himself a medal at Rio 2016 and a win over Adilbek Niyazymbetov will give him a shot at gold.

A visit from Floyd Mayweather – the now retired undefeated five-weight world champion regarded as one the greatest boxers of all time – will tell you why people are talking about Buatsi.

The 23-year-old has risen to the occasion in Rio, winning his first two fights by stoppage before earning a unanimous decision over Algeria’s Abdelhafid Benchabla in the quarter-finals.

Sailing, men’s finn class (17:05 UK Time)

Giles Scott has secured gold with a race to spare to continue Great Britain’s dominance of the men’s Finn class at the Olympics – Sir Ben Ainslie winning the last three titles and Iain Percy victorious back in Sydney.

The 29-year-old’s performances in the opening six races were dominant enough to ensure he is now unable to be caught by the rest of the field.
