Driscoll misses out on world hat-trick in Sofia

Kat Driscoll could not add a third gold to her medal haul at the Trampoline World Championships in Sofia after faltering in the women’s individual final.

The London 2012 Olympian lost her bounce midway through her routine, eventually placing seventh with a total of 50.705.

But it will still be all smiles for Driscoll, who secured gold in both the team and synchro events at the championships.

Emma Smith – also a team gold winner in Sofia – suffered the same misfortune as her Great Britain teammate.

The 22-year-old, who qualified in a superb second from the semi-final stage, lost her step and posted a score of 6.445 to finish in eighth.
