Dasaolu finishes season with Continental Cup win

Great Britain's James Dasaolu finished his injury-hit season with victory after he beat a world-class field in the 100m final at the IAAF Continental Cup in Marrakech.

The 27-year-old clocked a time of 10.03 seconds to finish ahead of the USA's Mike Rogers and Qatar's Femi Ogunode in the inter-continental competition.

There was other British interest in action as Eilidh Child finished second in the women’s 400m hurdles final, once again finishing behind Jamaica’s Kaliese Spencer.

Lynsey Sharp secured fifth place in the women’s 800m final with a time of 2:00.80 minutes, with Kenya’s Eunice Sum the race winner.

And Martyn Rooney finished seventh in the men’s 400m final in a time of 45.93, USA's LaShawn Merritt taking the victory in 44.60.
