Daley relishing return to the Water Cube for World Series

Tom Daley cannot wait to take a trip down memory lane as Britain send a team to China and Dubai for the first two legs of the Diving World Series.

Daley is one of ten Brits set to compete to China and Dubai and will take to the 10m platform for the first time internationally since moving to train in London.

The first leg will see Daley return to the Water Cube in Beijing where he made his Olympic debut as the youngest member of the British team for the 2008 Games.

Then 14 but now 19 Daley insists he is relishing the chance to compete in the Water Cube again and see how his new set up is going ahead of this summer’s Commonwealth Games.

“This is the first international competition of the year for me and I can’t wait to get on to the boards to compete,” he said.

“Being back in the Water Cube in Beijing will be a great start to the World Series. It’s an amazing pool with great memories of my first Olympic experience.

“These two competitions are the first that I will have competed in internationally since I moved to London and started working with Jane Figueiredo.

“We have a great relationship and the changes she has made to my programme are beginning to make an impact on my diving.”
