Campbell predicts more boxing gold

Olympic champion Luke Campbell is confident Britain's boxers will add to the host nation's gold medal tally on Sunday.

The 24-year-old took gold in a 14-11 victory over Ireland's John Joe Nevin at ExCeL on Saturday night, pulling off his best performance of the competition. Fred Evans and Anthony Joshua both fight for gold on Sunday afternoon in some of the final action of the Games, and Campbell reckons they can ensure the Olympics end on a high for Team GB.

"Fred Evans, very talented. Joshua, a big guy, he's come on leaps and bounds in a short space of time," he told BBC Breakfast. "I'm very confident we can do the same again today and get two gold medals."

Speaking of his own success on Saturday, Campbell said he was "on his game" and was able to force Nevin to change his game plan.

He added: "I'm overwhelmed from it all, it seems a bit of a blur. It's everything I've ever worked for. I've achieved my goal, I'm speechless.

"It's a moment I've dreamed about most of my life, daydreamed about, visualised. All the hard work and dedication was all for the Olympic Games, and to achieve a gold medal at the Olympic Games is fantastic, the best of the best.

"The support I've had is just fantastic, from Great Britain and from my home town Hull - there is brilliant support there. I'm so, so happy."
