Maddie Hinch MBE was part of the history-making women's hockey team at Rio 2016, who won their first ever Olympic gold medal.
The team won all eight of their matches at the Games, seeing off defending champions the Netherlands in the final via a dramatic shootout, with goalkeeper Hinch saving all four Dutch penalties.
Having won Commonwealth Games silver in 2014, Hinch enjoyed a stellar 2015 as she was named goalkeeper of the tournament at the World League Semi-Finals in Valencia before helping England claim European gold for the first time since 1991.
During her time in Rio, Hinch surpassed 100 international appearances, and added European bronze to her collection in 2017.
She was made MBE in the Queen's New Years' Honours List 2017 for services to hockey.
