Laura Tomlinson started riding when she was three, concentrating on eventing before switching to dressage in her teens.

She is the youngest-ever British National champion, having won the title aged 20, and was the only member of the London 2012 team to have competed at Beijing 2008.

Tomlinson will rode the same horse, Mistral Hojris, and in 2010 she became Great Britain’s first-ever individual World Championship silver medallist.

At the 2012 Olympics in London, Tomlinson won gold in Team Dressage with partners Carl Hester and Charlotte Dujardin and bronze in Individual Dressage.

Her maiden name was Bechtolsheimer before she married in March 2013 and going forward now competes as, Laura Tomlinson.
