Born in Glasgow, swimmer Gregor Tait featured at two Olympic Games – Athens 2004 and Beijing 2008.
In between he represented Scotland at the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne where he won 200m backstroke gold in a Games Record.
Also Down Under Gregor won 200m individual medley gold as well as bronze medals in the 100m backstroke and 4x100m medley relay and he was hailed as a national hero upon his return by Scotland’s First Minister Jack McConnell.
